For Generation Z (Gen Z), online platforms are communication tools and integral spaces for social connection and self-expression. Yet, cyberbullying victimization can turn these spaces into sources of distress and may remain unnoticed by those able to provide support. Although prior research has primarily examined the emotional consequences of cyberbullying victimization, less attention has been given to the bully-victim cycle, whereby victimized individuals may also engage in cyberbullying perpetration. Drawing on General Strain Theory and the General Aggression Model, this study examines the dual internalized and externalized consequences of cyberbullying victimization among Malaysian Gen Z.
